Frequently asked questions.

  • CoGym is a semi-private training studio. Clients follow their own personalized programs on a flexible schedule. Sessions may overlap with 1-2 others, but everyone works independently under supervision.

  • CoGym is not an open gym. Your membership provides access to the studio during coached workouts only.

  • Workouts are designed to take approximately one hour (not including cardio) but you may finish at your own pace.

  • Halfway in between a personal training session and a small group training session. Each workout has been planned in advance in your personalized programing. Your coach will be spotting all barbell movements while giving commentary on form.

    If there are others in the studio, your coach will be assisting them while you rest in between sets. You are welcome to observe and interact with others but will not be asked to spot.

    Workouts are designed to need the most supervision at the beginning, tapering off so that by the end you’ll get light feedback and can finish at your own pace. Your coach will check in with you before and after the workout to talk about overall progress.

  • In this initial concept, I will be coaching during these hours:

    Monday through Friday: 8 AM - 11 AM

    Monday through Thursday: 2 PM - 5 PM

  • Membership is flexible based on how often you’d like to come in:

    1 workout per week: $149/month

    2 workouts per week: $299/month

    3 workouts per week: $449/month

    4 workouts per week: $599/month

    5 workouts per week: $749/month

    All clients will receive full weeks of programming regardless of how many coached workouts you have per week. Non-coached workouts will need to be completed in another facility.

  • Workouts are designed to take approximately one hour (not including cardio) but you may finish at your own pace. Cardio assignments from your coach may be completed on our machines either before or after your workout.

  • A typical workout will begin with a warm-up that corresponds to the main movement(s).

    Main movement(s) include heavier barbell and dumbbell movements, followed by supplemental movements with specialized equipment.

    Prescribed solo cardio may be completed on our machines either before or after the workout.

  • You’ll set up a login for our scheduler which will allow you to sign up for workout start times (every 15 minutes during available hours). You will work out under supervision from your coach and finish at your own pace. You may use our cardio machines before or after your workout.

  • Body composition: InBody Dial H30

    VO2 max: Polar H10 chest strap and treadmill test (or using data from your current wearable)

    Grip strength: dynamometer

    Mobility: overhead squat assessment

  • It is recommended to retest your score on a monthly basis but you are welcome to do so during any of your workouts.
