Frequently asked questions.

  • CoGym is a private training studio where clients learn how to exercise and improve their lifestyles under guidance from a coach.

  • CoGym is not an open gym. Your membership provides access to the studio during coached workouts only.

  • Coached workouts are one hour. You and your coach will determine regular set times that work for you.

  • A coached workout will be very similar to a standard personal training session with more emphasis on education and progression towards autonomy. Eventually you will have the option to pair with other clients in your coached workouts as well as solo workouts.

  • In this initial concept, I will be coaching during these hours:

    Weekdays

    Morning Coaching Block: 8 AM - 11 AM

    Closed: 11 AM - 2 PM

    Afternoon Coaching Block: 2 PM - 5 PM

    Afternoon hours available Monday through Thursday only

  • All supervised workouts take place inside Myo Physiotherapy, located in downtown Durham:

  • Membership is flexible based on how often you’d like to come in:

    1 coached workout per week: $395/month (4 coached workouts per month)

    2 coached workouts per week: $745/month (8 coached workouts per month)

    3 coached workouts per week: $1095/month (12 coached workouts per month)

    All clients will receive full programming regardless of how many coached workouts you have per week. Non-coached workouts will need to be completed at another facility.

  • A typical workout will begin with a warm-up that corresponds to the main movement(s).

    Main movement(s) include heavier barbell and dumbbell movements, followed by supplemental movements with specialized equipment to target weaknesses.

    Prescribed solo cardio may be completed on our machines either before or after the workout.

  • Body composition: InBody Dial H30

    VO2 max: Ebbeling Treadmill Test (or using data from your wearable)

    Grip strength: digital hand dynamometer

    Mobility: NASM Overhead Squat Assessment

  • It is recommended to retest your score on a monthly basis but you are welcome to do so during any of your workouts.
